Jeff

Jeff lives with his mother and sister in a very small one room rented home. Jeff’s mother sells charcoal and was able to use this money to repair her roof after negotiating forgiveness of rent for one year in exchange. Our November team will assist her to paint the inside of her home and repair her table. Donations to fully-fund repairs to Jeff's home have been received. See the before & after photos below.

Reginald



Reginald lives with his mother and step-father in a rental home. His mother negotiated with her landlord who agreed to forgive rent for the next year if we are able to assist the family in repairing their roof. To do this they need three 2 x 4 pieces of lumber, 15 corrugated steel roof panels and nails. Donations to repair their roof and secure their home for one year have been received.
Jaques, Sander, and Woodson



Sander’s parents are deceased, he is under the care of his grandmother and lives also with his Aunt and his cousin Jacques. Woodson is technically homeless but loved by this family as their own. Their current rental home is not livable after receiving extensive storm damage. Donations to secure a safe, dry home for them have been received.

Kenken & Sonson


These fellas are brothers and live with their mother and 3 other siblings, for a total of 6 people in a damaged one room home. Donations have made it possible to rent a new home in a different location.

Edlin & Jamsely


Edlin and Jamesly lived with their mother and many, many siblings in a home made of tree branches, tarps and a tin roof prior to the hurricane. They are currently homeless. Donations have been received to pay rent for one year in a new location.

Dackson

Dackson’s parents are deceased, he lives with his Aunt. There are currently 12 people sleeping in their 2 bedroom home. At this time she is in need of a new roof: 50 pieces of corrugated steel, 50 2 x 4’s, nails and payment for Haitian labor. Donations have secured a dry home for this family.

Anchino

Anchino’s parents are deceased, he lives with his grandma. Four people live in their one room home. Anchino’s grandma is content remaining in this location. The owner has agreed to repair the roof if the rent is paid. Donations have secured a dry home for one year.

Fegens

Fegens’ parents are deceased, he lives with his Aunt. They own their home but it was damaged by the hurricane. They are in need of structural repairs to walls and a new roof for their 4 room home. Donations have been received to secure a safe structure, a dry roof and secure porch railing for the safety of his autistic cousin.

Madley

Madley lives with his mother, his sister and three cousins in a one room home with a leaky roof. This family needs to move to a new rental. Donations have been received to provide more sufficient space and dry living quarters.

Ricot

Ricot lives with his father and two siblings. They own their three room home. Some wall structure repair is needed (his father is able to do the labor for this) as well as roof repair. Donations have been received to empower Ricot’s father to make the needed repairs.

Wilfred

Hurricane Matthew completely destroyed Wilfred’s mother’s rental home. Their family has been living in a shelter but as of 11/3/16 is displaced and homeless. Wilfred’s family will provide the gravel and water needed to build a two room home. Donations have been received to purchase safe concrete blocks, cement, wood and corrugated steel for roofing as well as pay a Haitian boss to complete the project.
